By Car
How long does it take to drive from Cluj-Napoca to Smida? About an hour and a half. We’re talking about 90 km (paved road). You take the E60/DN1 road and follow Huedin, Călata, Mărgău, Răchițele, Doda Pilii, and Smida.
For those looking for a trip in which to enjoy the beauty of the nature, we recommend an alternative route, where a rally takes place every year, through Călățele, Dealul Negru, Beliș, Bălcești, Dealul Botii, also arriving in Răchițele, Doda Pilii and finally Smida.
P.S. Regardless of the direction you come from or your GPS’s route, we strongly recommend taking the road through Huedin because it’s the best (your car will thank you).
By Bus
Between 19-22 August, there will be four buses travelling from Cluj-Napoca to Smida and other four from Smida to Cluj-Napoca.
